After Sales Service Training

Xylem after sales and service courseThe After Sales Service Training course is dedicated to technicians and service partners to learn how to maintain and repair the latest products released by Xylem. Attendees will receive instruction on disassembling, assembling, repairing and troubleshooting in the service demonstration classroom. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) safety shoes and overalls are required.

***Prerequisite: Minimum five years’ experience with service and repairing. Pre-approval is required.

Detailed program:


Factory tour

Xylem’s facilities adopt the Lean Manufacturing approach, reducing the delivery time and waste with very high flexibility. During the tour the visitor has the possibility to see all the different steps in the manufacturing process, starting with the raw material up to shipment of the final product.
Duration: 1,5 hours.

Tools and safety instructions

During this session attendees will learn about the safety equipment required to operate and to maintain pumps, electronic and electric systems. The After Market team will advise on the tools required in the workshop to disassemble and assemble a pump.
Duration: 1 hour.

Assembling and disassembling procedure

During this session attendees will learn Xylem’s standard procedure for removing a pump from a system and how to disassemble a pump.
Duration: 1 hour.

Hands on / practical course

During this session attendees will physically disassemble and assemble a pump with the help and support of an expert technician.
Duration: 3 hours.


Claim procedure and original spare parts

Xylem has a claim procedure that must be followed in order to track the failure of products in the field. During this session attendees will learn how to complete the return merchandise authorization (RMA) claim form and how to track the failure analysis made by the AM&W team. Additionally they will understand how to select the correct spare part kit(s).
Duration: 1,5 hours.

Start up and troubleshooting

Using a working unit installed in the demonstration classroom attendees will learn how to install and start up the pump and/or the system together with a troubleshooting check list, in order to solve “standard” problems a technician may face on site.
Duration: 1,5 hours.
